Slitter/Rewinder Operators and Helpers

We believe it is important to have a work/life balance. Our work schedule is a 2-2-3 schedule, 12 hour shifts (7:00am-7:00pm, 7:00pm-7:00am) Two full weeks of day shifts and two full weeks of nights. This schedule offers every other weekend to be a 3 day weekend. This means you work approximately half of each month and/or affords overtime opportunities!
WE CAN OFFER YOU:
SIGN ON BONUS – receive a $100.00 bonus after 30 days of employment and a $500 bonus after 6 months of employment.

$15-$17 hour with a review in 90 days OR based on experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
Will operate or assist in the slitter/rewinder process of converting larger plastic specialty cast film rolls into smaller banding rolls in a TEAM environment. Inspect, weigh and package them to meet the shop order specification. Palletize and label finished product. Perform regular quality checks to exceed customer expectations. Maintain a clean work space.
This position reports directly to Plant Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Operate or assist in converting larger rolls into smaller 3” and 5” stretch film banding rolls and 20” extended core rolls.
Carefully read and produce production orders on automated equipment.
Inspect/test and record daily Inspection Sheets to ensure product meets our standard of quality.
Label, weigh, record and pack cases/rolls on pallets per packing standards.
Monitor product and adjust equipment as needed to meet waste goals.
Assist where needed – communication is critical.
Must have the ability to do repetitive lifting; Maximum 50 lbs.
Maintain an organized and safe work space.
General cleaning on the production floor.
Assist in all phases of machine operations as needed for breaks, changes, projects and vacations.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
Candidate must be 18 years or older.
Must have the ability to read and comprehend general instructions.
Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
Must be able to have daily on time attendance.
Must be able to work in a TEAM atmosphere.
Good math skills are a plus.
Pre-employment drug screening is required.
WORK RELATIONSHIP
Attitude is everything – arriving with a good attitude creates an environment you WANT to work in.
As an Operator/Helper you will work daily with the all Associates and direction will be provided for daily production orders and/or changes.
Safety is highest priority. Always follow the safety guidelines.
At shift change, it is critical and essential to be on time and ready to work.
Having good communication during shift change is the way to maintain an efficient production schedule and is how we stay on track for targeted completion dates.
BONUS TERMS:
Bonuses offered for a limited time only.
Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply.
Associates must be employed at the time of the payout.
Payouts will occur in installments.
